Full Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Information Officer to join our Corporate Governance Team, the role provides record and information management support to Tweed Shire Council.

Candidates with a high level of transferable administrative skills will be considered, direct records management experience is not essential.

About the role:

Provide high-quality records and information management services by implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving records management policies, procedures, and guidance to support compliance, accountability, and effective business operations.
Assist with Council’s obligations under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act)
Provide records and information management support to Council.

What's on offer:

An attractive base salary ranging from $64,608 per annum with competency based increments up to $74,025 per week, plus 12% super
This rate includes the 2026 Award increase, which is effective from the 4 July 2026.
70 hour, 9 day fortnight

We are seeking:

Ability to collaborate with staff and Council stakeholders
Understanding of Records Management within a corporate business environment
Experience using computer technology to access information including retrieval and data entry
Team player - ability to work within a team environment, share knowledge and provide support in times of increased workloads.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
