Administrative Officer - Monash Doctors Education
Make a difference in the training of tomorrow's doctors.
Monash Doctors Education (MDE) is seeking an organised, proactive and highly capable Administrative Officer to join our collaborative education team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the training and development of junior doctors and international medical graduates across one of Australia's largest health services.
As the Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of medical education programs that help junior medical staff develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required to provide safe, high-quality patient care. Working closely with educators, clinicians, trainees and stakeholders across Monash Health, you will help coordinate education programs, manage training records and assessments, support education events, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.
About Monash Doctors Education
Monash Doctors Education is an interprofessional team dedicated to promoting wellbeing and excellence in medical training. We support interns, hospital medical officers and international medical graduates through innovative education programs, ensuring our future doctors are equipped to deliver exceptional healthcare to our community.
About the Role
This diverse and rewarding role will see you:
Coordinate administrative support for junior doctor and international medical graduate education programs
Manage assessment documentation, attendance records and education reporting
Support the planning and delivery of tutorials, workshops, orientation programs and online learning activities
Liaise with presenters, participants and key stakeholders across Monash Health and external organisations
Maintain education records and databases with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
Support SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and communication activities
Assist with invoicing, event coordination and general operational administration
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of education processes
About You
You are a highly organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and a passion for supporting education and workforce development.
You will bring:
Experience in an administrative, coordination or customer service role
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel
Confidence working with data, records and reporting systems
A collaborative approach and strong stakeholder relationship skills
Initiative, problem-solving ability and a commitment to continuous improvement
Experience within healthcare, education or the public sector will be highly regarded
