Full Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and motivated Sales Assistant to join our team at Shoes Direct on a part-time basis (3–4 days per week).

About the Role

As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting customers with enquiries, processing sales, maintaining store presentation, and supporting day-to-day store operations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and product advice.
Process in-store sales and payments accurately.
Monitor incoming online shop orders and fulfil orders promptly and accurately.
Pick, pack and prepare online orders for dispatch.
Maintain accurate stock levels across the retail store and online shop.
Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management.
Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented store.
Support the team with general administrative and operational tasks

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail sales or customer service role.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Proficient in using computers, including Point of Sale (POS) systems, Microsoft Office, email, and web browsers.
Familiarity with Shopify platform is a bonus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Professional presentation and a positive attitude.
