Catering Attendant (Merrimac & Ashmore) I Casual | Part-Time Opportunties

About the Role

As a Catering Attendant, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents while supporting our kitchen team to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals. The role combines food preparation, dining service, food safety and resident interaction to ensure every resident enjoys a safe, welcoming and person-centred mealtime experience.

Your duties will include:

Assisting with food preparation and meal plating
Serving meals and beverages to residents
Supporting resident choice by taking meal orders and accommodating dietary requirements
Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining environment
Completing food safety and temperature monitoring
Washing dishes and kitchen equipment
Monitoring and reporting resident food intake where required
Using catering software and following menu systems
Assisting with special events, functions and celebrations
Working collaboratively with chefs, catering staff and the clinical team to deliver exceptional service.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

A caring, positive and team-focused attitude
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Reliable and flexible availability

Desirable

Previous experience in aged care, hospitality or commercial catering
Food Safety or Food Handler Certificate
Certificate II in Hospitality or Health Services
Experience working with modified diets or texture-modified meals
