Spend your days working with fish, aquatic plants and some of Victoria's most beautiful lakes, ponds and dams.

We're looking for an Aquatic Technician to join our growing team based in Whittlesea.

This is a rare opportunity to build a career in an industry most people don't even know exists. One day you might be setting up a new holding system for our fish and aquatic plants, the next you could be installing an aeration system on a picturesque farm dam, and the day after that, helping us build our own large-scale recreational pond.

About Water Quality Solutions

For more than 16 years, Water Quality Solutions has helped Australians restore and maintain healthy dams, lakes and ponds using natural, environmentally responsible solutions.

We install and maintain aeration systems, pumps, fountains and biological water treatments for residential, agricultural, commercial and government customers throughout Victoria and beyond.

Our work makes waterways healthier, more attractive and more enjoyable for the people and wildlife that depend on them.

What you'll be doing

Your role is split between our Whittlesea headquarters and customer sites across Victoria.

You'll:

Care for fish and aquatic plants in our nursery and holding systems.
Maintain aquariums, tanks and aquatic plant displays.
Visit customer dams, lakes and ponds to monitor water quality and carry out regular maintenance.
Apply natural biological water treatments.
Install and service aerators, pumps and fountains.
Prepare equipment for upcoming projects.
Maintain vehicles, trailers and tools.
Help keep our workshop and property running smoothly.
Deliver friendly, professional service to customers.
Stock management
Receiving oders into our warehouse

Some overnight travel is occasionally required.

About you

We're more interested in attitude than having every qualification.

You'll probably enjoy this role if you have experience in:

Horticulture
Landscaping
Parks & Gardens
Aquaculture
Aquarium or aquatic plant care
Irrigation
Conservation or environmental management
Outdoor maintenance

You'll also have:

A current driver's licence.
Good practical and problem-solving skills.
A willingness to work outdoors.
Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Experience working around water is an advantage, but we'll provide training.
