Independent Gardener
Love working outdoors and taking pride in a job well done? We’re a locally owned gardening business based in Warrandyte, Victoria, looking for a reliable and motivated gardener to join our friendly team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, likes variety in their day, and wants steady hours in a supportive outdoor environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Mowing, edging and weeding private residential and small commercial sites
- Hedge trimming, pruning, leaf blowing and general garden tidy-ups
- Mulching, planting beds, borders, natives/ornamentals, annuals/perennials and seasonal clean-ups
- Plant care, soil preparation, feeding, pest/disease spotting and basic treatment.
- Green waste management and tidy site handover
- Using and carrying out basic maintenance on gardening equipment safely
What We’re Looking For
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and reliability
- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening or lawn maintenance is a bonus
- A valid driver’s licence, with manual required (or willing to learn), and reliable transport
- Physical fitness and confidence working outdoors in different weather conditions
- The ability to work independently and communicate professionally with customers on site and walk-up enquiries

- Consistent hours based on your allocated availability

- Approximately 20–25 hours per week during the low season
- Approximately 30–35 hours per week during the high season
