As the Consultant, Financial Crime Governance - Personal Banking you will become a key contributor within the Chief Operating Office Personal Banking (COO PB) Regulatory and Controls Delivery Team. Join a strong team that is building long-term relationships by understanding and adapting to changing customer needs.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

Assist with the implementation of financial crime governance and planning frameworks to ensure Personal Banking are compliant with Financial Crime obligations / standards, including AML/CTF Program, Anti Bribery & Corruption and Sanctions.
Proactive monitoring of financial crime obligations, implementation of EWRA recommendations, closure of audit / FCRM recommendations and overall uplift to the control environment, to ensure risk and assurance requirements are withing agreed Risk Appetite and managing non-compliance in a timely manner
Work closely with colleagues across all divisions to proactively manage financial crime risks.
Provide oversight and governance across financial crime regulatory responses, internal reports, and reportable events.
Provide support to the Manager Financial Crime Governance Team.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Financial Crime, Risk, Governance or a related field gained either in a consulting firm, in-house with a large corporate or equivalent environment (previous financial services experiences is highly regarded)
Demonstrated experience in Anti-Money Laundering AML/Counter Terrorism Financing CTF and Sanctions will be highly regarded.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, influencing and negotiating abilities and time management.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail to be able to review and extract relevant risk-based assessment.
Working knowledge on Banking Code, regulatory landscape, and business operations.
Possess strong presentation and facilitation skills. Effective communication skills with the ability to synthetise data and communicate findings in a meaningful way.
