Okami is seeking a Pan Fry / Hot Section Cook to join our experienced and award‑winning team in Penrith, NSW.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain pan-frying and hot-section cooking equipment, ensuring all dishes are prepared with the correct heat control, timing, and quality standards
Maintain safe and sanitary food‑handling practices across all preparation and serving areas
Regulate stove and cooking equipment temperatures to ensure consistent and proper food preparation
Prepare, cook, and season food according to recipes or professional culinary experience
Monitor food quality and doneness using visual checks, tasting, smelling, or appropriate utensils
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients following recipes and using suitable kitchen equipment
Store food safely in temperature‑controlled facilities to maintain freshness and safety
Estimate food consumption and organise preparation to meet service demands efficiently
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and assist in coordinating workflow to maintain speed and quality during service

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Reliable, punctual, and well‑organised
Strong time‑management and communication skills
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations in a commercial kitchen
