The Lookout Echo Point is one of Australia's most iconic hospitality venues, located at the world-famous Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains. As part of Trippas White Group, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, service and memorable guest experiences.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading a dynamic kitchen team across our café, restaurant and events operations.
About the role
As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality, maintaining high food safety standards, and leading the team during busy service periods.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and is passionate about developing both people and food.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen.
- Lead the kitchen team during service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Assist with ordering, stock control and minimising waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS requirements.
- Support café, restaurant and event service.
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff.
About you
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a senior Chef de Partie ready to progress.
- Experience working in a busy restaurant or café.
- Events or function catering experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
- Full Australian working rights.
