Position Summary

Adam Tech is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) – Australia to drive new business development and strategic growth.

This role will be responsible for expanding Adam Tech’s presence with OEMs, EMS providers, and distribution partners across Australia, with a strong focus on design-in activity, new customer acquisition, and long-term revenue growth in key sectors including electronics, industrial, automotive, datacom, energy, IoT, and medical.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Market Expansion

· Develop and execute a India-specific business development strategy aligned with Adam Tech’s global growth plan and regional objectives

· Identify and penetrate key target markets, including:

o OEMs

o EMS / contract manufacturers

o System integrators

· Analyze market trends, government initiatives, and competitive landscape to prioritize growth opportunities

· Drive year-over-year revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts

Demand Creation & Sales Enablement

· Drive early-stage engagement with design engineers and product development teams to secure design wins

· Promote Adam Tech’s interconnect solutions for inclusion in customer designs and specifications

· Support technical discussions and coordinate closely with Engineering and Product teams to align solutions with customer requirements

· Lead RFQ, quotation, and negotiation processes to achieve both revenue and margin targets

Customer & Partner Development

Build and maintain strong relationships with:

· Key OEMs and EMS customers

· Engineering and procurement teams

· Strategic distribution partners in India

Collaborate with distribution partners to:

· Expand market reach

· Drive POS growth

· Support local inventory and NPI initiatives

Identify and convert high-potential prospects into long-term strategic customers

Qualifications & Experience

· 8 -12+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, or account management within the electronics, interconnect, or industrial sectors

· Strong experience within the Australian electronics ecosystem, including OEMs, EMS providers, and distribution channels

· Proven track record of:

o New business development

o Design-in sales

o Achieving and exceeding revenue targets

· Solid understanding of:

o Connector/interconnect products

o Customer design cycles

o Local market dynamics and pricing pressures

· Experience working in a global organization with cross-regional collaboration preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA is a plus)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
