About the Opportunity
This is not just another HR role.
We are looking for the right person to join our People & Culture team in a key position that helps shape how our organisation supports, develops and works with its people.
As our People & Culture Coordinator, you will be part of a small, committed and practical team that works closely with leaders and employees across Council. You will have the opportunity to contribute across the full employee lifecycle, provide trusted advice, support meaningful workplace improvements, and help strengthen a positive, values-driven culture across Glenelg Shire Council.
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, values strong working relationships, and wants to make a genuine contribution in a role where their work matters.
What You Will Be Involved In
In this role, you will support and contribute to a broad range of People & Culture activities, including:
- Recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning support.
- Employee and industrial relations advice.
- Award and enterprise agreement interpretation.
- Performance, change and workplace support.
- Policy, process and compliance activities.
- Enterprise bargaining preparation and implementation support.
- Workplace investigations and procedural fairness processes.
- People-related projects that improve culture, communication and the employee experience.
You will also play an important role in helping leaders navigate people matters in a practical, fair and consistent way.

About You
