About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of what we do—supporting NDIS participants in their homes and communities to live life on their terms.
Your day may include:
- Personal care: Helping with showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Community access: Supporting participants to attend appointments, enjoy social activities, and engage with their community.
- Transport: Driving participants to appointments, outings, and events.
- Meal preparation: Cooking and assisting with daily living tasks.
- Medication support: Administering medication (where trained and authorised).
- Domestic support: Cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and keeping homes safe and comfortable.
- Goal support: Encouraging independence and helping participants achieve their personal goals.
- Documentation: Writing progress notes and following support plans.
What You’ll Need
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver Licence + reliable, insured vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays
Desirable (but not essential):
- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services (or currently studying)
- Experience in disability, aged care, mental health, or community services
- Medication Administration Training
- Experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, or complex needs
