Lead water management decisions that support thriving communities and a sustainable future for NSW.

Provide strategic advice on some of NSW's most significant development and infrastructure projects.
Drive better outcomes for communities through expert water management leadership.
2 x permanent full-time roles
Parramatta, Newcastle or Wollongong office preferred, though other NSW DPHI Office location will be considered
Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $154,231 to $178,369 + super

In this role, you'll help shape a future where communities, growth and sustainable water outcomes thrive together. Leading a team of water management specialists, you'll provide trusted advice on major projects that influence how people live, work and connect across NSW. Your work will support informed decisions that protect vital water resources while enabling vibrant and resilient communities to grow and prosper.

We're looking for someone who:

Is passionate about creating sustainable water outcomes that benefit communities across NSW
Brings strong experience in water management, hydrology, engineering, environmental science or a related discipline.
Has the confidence to lead complex assessments and provide trusted technical advice on significant projects.
Builds strong relationships and collaborates effectively with government, industry and community stakeholders.
Can translate complex technical information into practical, evidence-based recommendations.
Enjoys leading and developing others, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Thinks strategically, embraces innovation and is motivated by delivering better outcomes for communities and the environment.
