Introduction
Kablamo is an impact-driven software engineering company. We bring engineering, data, and AI expertise to solve complex problems, with the intellectual horsepower to know what works and the care to make sure it actually does.
Founded in 2017 in Australia, the business has grown quickly over the last several years, including the expansion of the team to Canada in 2021. We are proud to have assembled a wonderful team and a list of customers that includes some of the best-known enterprises and government organisations in Australia and Canada.
As an established Google Cloud (GCP) and Advanced AWS Consulting partner, we are at the forefront of AI-centric software and product development. Kablamo is building our own AI-powered products and enhancing our software and product development processes with the latest AI tooling. We’ve built Kablamo on using data and technology to drive product innovation, and we’ve been recognised globally, including AWS Public Sector’s global award for “Most Innovative AI/ML Solution” for Kablamo’s work in building bushfire intelligence platforms.
The Role
Kablamo's People & Culture Manager role is suited to a person looking for a People & Culture leadership opportunity, where you'll bring your experience, passion and know-how to help Kablamo and our team through growth.
From a career perspective, you've demonstrated a track record as a high-performing People & Culture leader. You're skilled at identifying, recruiting, onboarding, engaging, training, growing, rewarding and retaining top talent. You've been part of teams and businesses with genuinely great cultures, and you understand what it takes to build one of the best places to work in Australia.
You'll champion Kablamo's values, working closely with our leaders and our people to coach, navigate, solve problems, and develop and launch programs that help every team member succeed and fulfil their potential. You'll thrive in a fast-moving, fluid environment, and you'll be genuinely passionate about supporting our teams and individuals to do their best work. You're an experienced People & Culture professional who thinks strategically, but who's just as happy rolling up your sleeves and getting things done.
The People & Culture Manager will work closely with Kablamo's leadership group, comprising two Co-CEOs, Principals, Crew Leaders and Technical Leads. Together, this group is responsible for setting Kablamo's strategic direction, attracting and retaining the best talent in our industry, and guiding our journey to greatness.

They ensure the accuracy of all employee data in relevant systems and keep information across all relevant HRIS systems up to date. Kablamo currently uses Employment Hero. They liaise with management and finance to ensure that Payroll records are accurate and up to date. They attend to general People and Culture queries from staff and leads. They process all employee record updates and oversee all People and Culture administration where applicable.
