Full Job Description

Work in a large, multidisciplinary maintenance team
2:2 roster, FIFO from Perth or Geraldton, 1-hour travel time to site
Long-term employment potential at a long-life mine (10+ years)

Provide coverage across Scuddles, Gossan Hil and Gossan Valley mines.
Maintenance focussed with long term project improvement capabilities.

About the Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced trade qualified Fixed Plant Fitter to join our Underground Operations team to maintain and repair underground / primary ventilation and pumping equipment across our three mines at Golden Grove. In this role, you will report to the Mechanical Coordinator and work on a 2:2 roster.

Your focus will be on optimising operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective underground systems production.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Maintaining and repairing underground dewatering and service pumps including Flyght submersibles and Wilson Snyder pumps.
Maintaining and repairing underground Kemco C200 crushers, apron and plate feeders, conveyor systems and other fixed plant assets.
Maintaining and repairing Primary and Booster ventilation systems.
Maintaining and repairing shaft haulage double drum winder systems.
Monitoring pump performance and respond to breakdowns and water management issues.
Conducting routine inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance.
Assembling and maintaining pipework, valves, and associated fittings.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have experience in similar underground maintenance roles with a solid work history, including a sound understanding of pumps, primary centrifugal fans, booster fans and winder systems.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

Fixed Plant Mechanical Trade Qualification or equivalent.
Experience with underground loading station, jaw crushers and winder hoisting (desirable).
Experience with primary pumping and valving.
Experience with pneumatic systems and basic hydraulics.
Current C-class manual driver’s licence.
HR Drivers’ License advantageous.
