The Role

As our National Retail Manager (Sales & Operations), based in our Sydney HQ, you’ll step into a key leadership role responsible for leading our Area Leaders and driving store performance across NSW, VIC and ACT, while overseeing retail operations across the national Honey Birdette boutique network.

Reporting to the Director of Retail and working closely with the National Manager (Sales & Customer Experience), you will help deliver the national retail strategy by translating business priorities into clear, executable action plans across our boutiques.

You will use data and insights to drive sales, optimise labour, improve contribution and identify opportunities to strengthen boutique performance. A key focus will be coaching Area Leaders, building high-performing teams and ensuring consistent operational standards across the network.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and maintaining a strong connection to our boutiques, you will help ensure every location delivers the bold, premium and unmistakably Honey Birdette experience.

Your Responsibilities (About the Role)

Lead the retail sales and operations strategy across NSW, VIC and ACT, translating business priorities into clear action plans that deliver sales, profit and customer experience targets.
Lead, coach and develop Area Managers across NSW, VIC and ACT, setting clear expectations for commercial performance, people leadership and boutique execution.
Own regional sales, labour, contribution, margin, shrinkage and total profit performance, using data and insights to identify opportunities and improve results.
Partner with Planning and Finance on sales forecasting, wage budgets, inventory planning and monthly contribution reviews across NSW, VIC and ACT.
Build strong regional talent pipelines by developing leadership capability, supporting succession planning and improving team engagement, retention and performance outcomes.
Collaborate with the Global Director of Retail Operations and National Manager QLD/WA/SA, Sales & Customer Experience to deliver a consistent national operating model.
Oversee inventory management, stocktake compliance and loss prevention across NSW, VIC and ACT, partnering with Product and Planning to improve availability, accuracy and margin outcomes.
Lead the timely and effective execution of national operational initiatives, campaigns, projects, events and activations across the region, within agreed budgets and timeframes.
Maintain strong communication rhythms and ensure boutiques operate safely, respectfully and consistently in line with Honey Birdette’s operational, wellbeing and compliance standards.

Your Sweet Spots (About You)

Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site retail operations within premium, fashion or specialty retail.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse sales performance, retail metrics and identify opportunities to improve results.
Proven ability to support and influence retail leadership teams to drive strong commercial and customer outcomes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across geographically dispersed teams.
Highly organised with strong operational capability, including retail reporting, compliance processes and inventory management.
Experience contributing to team engagement, performance support and talent development within a fast-paced retail environment.
A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with a passion for retail excellence and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
