About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Analyst to join our Administration team in our Sydney office and support the firm’s ongoing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) function. This full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract presents a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in compliance and gain hands-on experience within a supportive team.
Reporting to the Director, AML Compliance, you will provide practical support to the AML team following the successful commencement of the new AML/CTF obligations on 1 July 2026. With the initial implementation phase now complete, the focus has shifted to maintaining and managing AML business-as-usual activities, including customer due diligence (CDD), ongoing monitoring, client onboarding, risk assessments and related compliance documentation.
What does the role involve?
- Supporting CDD production and client due diligence activities during periods of increased volume or competing priorities
- Assisting with client onboarding, risk assessments and associated AML documentation
- Maintaining accurate AML registers, records, workflow tracking and related compliance documentation
- Supporting ongoing monitoring and other BAU AML activities as required
- Helping maintain priority work and service continuity while the AML operating model settles into BAU
- Escalating issues where appropriate and providing support to the Director, AML Compliance, and the broader AML team
About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A bachelor's degree in administration or a related field
- A keen interest in compliance, risk, or financial crime prevention
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A commitment to ethical conduct and professional growth
- Prior experience or certification in AML is a plus, but not required
