CHEF (Full-Time Position)
Business: Mon Dieu Cafe & Restaurant
Location: Amaroo Park, Phillip Island, Victoria
Salary: AUD($80,000 per annum (excluding superannuation))
Mon Dieu Cafe & Restaurant
Mon Dieu Cafe & Restaurant is seeking a motivated and experienced Chef to join our busy kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, preparing quality meals, and maintaining high food safety and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff
Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Preparing and cooking food
Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
Assisting with staff selection and training where required
Freezing and preserving foods in accordance with food safety requirements

Qualification Requirements:
Applicants must hold:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
Diploma of Hospitality Management

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef

Other Requirements:

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills

Employment Details:

Full-time ongoing position
Minimum 38 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $79,500.00 – $80,500.00 per year
