Medical Receptionist (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Victoria Harbour Medical Centre – Docklands

Victoria Harbour Medical Centre is a well-established, privately billing general practice located in the heart of Docklands. We are proud to provide high-quality, patient-centered healthcare in a supportive and professional environment.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

About the Role

We have both full-time and part-time positions available with an immediate start.

Successful applicants will be required to work 4–5 days per week, including 1–2 Saturday mornings per month on a rotating roster.

Practice Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Sunday & Public Holidays: Closed

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing exceptional customer service to patients both in person and over the phone
Managing appointment bookings and patient enquiries
Welcoming patients and creating a positive first impression
Processing Medicare and private billing accurately
Providing administrative support to our doctors, nurses and Practice Manager
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring strict confidentiality
Managing multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and professional manner
Assisting with general reception and administrative duties as required

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a busy customer service/administration role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Intermediate computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work additional shifts when required, including 1–2 Saturdays per month

Experience using Best Practice, HotDoc, Medicare Online or other medical practice software will be highly regarded but is not essential.
