DVA Claims Administration

Permanent full-time x 4 (part-time considered)

These roles are well suited to people desiring full-time hours while also juggling personal commitments, such as parents seeking to work around school pick-ups and drop-offs.

About the roles

We have four vacancies available across our teams, with each focused on a different stage of the claim lifecycle from initiation, progression, finalisation and review. One role includes leadership responsibilities for a small team.

All four roles involve a wide range of client engagement and claims management activities, including high volume email management, database entry, client communications and claim documentation and processing. Most client communication is via email, however there is a shared call queue and the need to liaise with clients, medical providers and DVA via telephone.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where there is always something to do. You will have a variety of different job tasks and responsibilities of varying complexity, such as following-up incomplete documentation, assessing claim viability, and reviewing claim outcomes for legislative compliance.

The ideal candidates

Previous experience dealing with DVA claims, either your own or others, would be highly advantageous, and all four roles would benefit greatly from a familiarity with the rigours and demands of military ranks, roles and careers (Army, Navy, Air Force) and a thorough understanding of musculoskeletal conditions.

However, you are still encouraged to apply if you are quick, collaborative, adaptable, responsive to training and comfortable multitasking while managing competing priorities.

Essential

The ability to follow instructions and work rapidly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is critical
Ability to multitask and prioritise
Aptitude for understanding complex policy
High level competency with Microsoft Windows and the Office environment
The role is based in Canberra, Australia, and you must have suitable work rights and be fluent in written and spoken English
You must be comfortable with dogs as there is a friendly office dog on site

Preferred

Experience dealing with the DVA claims process
Experience in personal injury claims processing, assessment or compliance
Experience or familiarity with military ranks, roles and careers
A thorough understanding of musculoskeletal conditions

Employment commencement

Preferred start in August, however this can be delayed for the right candidates. Interviews will be conducted progressively as suitable applications are received.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary is negotiable depending on the successful applicant's skills and experience, suitability for the role, and the scope of responsibilities assumed.

Hybrid working arrangements are typically three days in the office and two days working from home, subject to completing training and achieving competency. There is also reasonable flexibility to negotiate your own work schedule after training.

While the roles are all Canberra based, consideration will be given to exceptional interstate candidates.

Ongoing training is provided and, for those interested, long-term opportunities to advance as the business continues to grow.
