About the Role
You are someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work and takes pride in producing a quality product. Your primary responsibility will be preparing, packing and dispatching our premium raw pet food. As a small business, everyone helps each other, so no two days are exactly the same.
One day you may be preparing meals and packing orders, while the next you could be organising stock, assisting with dispatch or helping answer the phone if the team is busy.
If you enjoy staying active, working efficiently and being part of a team where everyone pitches in, you'll fit in well here.
Please note: This is not a butcher position. The role centres around food preparation, packing, dispatch and general production duties.
Working Hours
Monday: Morning shift (approximately 4 hours)
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: Full day (8 hours)
Friday : Morning shift (approximately 4 hours)
Your Responsibilities
- Assist team preparing, mincing and packing premium raw pet food
- Packing and labelling products accurately
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Assisting with dispatch and freight preparation
- Receiving and organising incoming stock
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic workspace
- Following strict food safety and hygiene procedures
- Assisting with general production and dispatch duties
- Occasionally helping with basic customer enquiries or answering the phone
- Supporting the team wherever required
Must Have Requirements
- Phyiscally fit with goof
- Reliable, punctual and takes pride in doing a quality job
- Is organised and has excellent attention to detail
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Is happy helping wherever needed
- Is comfortable handling raw meat products
- Wants stable, long-term employment
An interest in dogs or pet nutrition is a bonus—but certainly not essential.
Experience (Highly Regarded)
Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:
- Food production
- Commercial kitchens
- Food preparation
- Food manufacturing
- Packing or dispatch
- Pick packing
- Manufacturing or production environments
Previous experience handling food in a professional environment is preferred.
A current driver's licence (or learner's licence) is required.
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working on your feet throughout the day
- Able to safely lift up to 15–20kg
- Comfortable handling raw meat products
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated production environment
