Dr Spot is seeking a friendly, organised and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for pets and their families while helping our busy veterinary hospital run smoothly.

About the Role
This role combines customer service, administration, patient coordination and animal care responsibilities. You will work closely with our veterinarians and veterinary nursing team to ensure every client and patient receives a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
· Greet clients and their pets in a professional, welcoming manner.
· Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries.
· Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment book.
· Process payments and manage client accounts.
· Maintain accurate client and patient records.
· Assist with admissions, discharges and medication collections.
· Support the veterinary and nursing teams with administrative tasks.
· Assist the team with basic animal care.
· Manage a busy reception area while maintaining a calm, positive atmosphere.
What We’re Looking For
· Previous reception, customer service or veterinary experience.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organisational and time management abilities.
· The ability to use initiative, multitask and remain calm under pressure.
· A positive attitude and genuine compassion for people and animals.
· Strong attention to detail and computer literacy.
· Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster.
