Full Job Description

About the Role

We're a growing CPA firm looking for a Junior Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build a foundation in professional services administration, with genuine exposure to how an accounting practice runs day to day.

Experience with Xero Practice Manager (XPM) is highly regarded, but training will be provided for the right candidate who is eager to learn.

This role would suit an undergraduate accounting student looking to gain practical exposure to a CPA firm alongside their studies, as well as anyone seeking a foot in the door in professional services administration. Flexible hours can be arranged around university timetables.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing client records and job workflows in Xero Practice Manager (XPM)
Scheduling appointments and coordinating diaries for accountants/partners
Handling incoming calls, emails, and general client correspondence
Preparing and formatting documents, letters, and reports
Assisting with document management, filing, and compliance record-keeping
Supporting the team with ad hoc administrative tasks as needed
Data entry and basic reconciliation support

What We're Looking For

Currently studying (or recently completed) a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field — highly regarded but not essential
Prior admin experience (accounting or professional services background highly regarded, but not essential)
XPM experience preferred — training provided if you're new to it but confident with similar practice management or CRM software
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good written and verbal communication
Comfortable using Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Ability to manage confidential information professionally
A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
