About the Role
As Export & Logistics Coordinator, you will coordinate export documentation, domestic and international freight movements, and inventory logistics to ensure products are delivered safely, compliantly and on time.
Supporting Hewitt's premium Australian red meat export operations, you will play a critical role in managing the movement of chilled and frozen products across domestic and global markets. This role is the key link between production facilities, cold stores, freight providers, customers and government authorities, providing end-to-end visibility across the supply chain.
You will be responsible for maintaining export compliance, supporting accurate documentation, and delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring customer and market requirements are met. Previous experience within the red meat export industry will be highly regarded, as will an understanding of export market requirements and cold chain logistics.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, verify and maintain export documentation including commercial invoices, packing declarations, certificates, shipping documentation and country-specific export requirements.
- Coordinate domestic transport, export containers, air freight, cold store receivals, stock transfers, loadouts and delivery timelines.
- Maintain visibility of inventory across third-party cold stores, monitor product ageing, investigate discrepancies, and support stock reconciliations and reporting.
- Liaise with brokers, processing facilities, freight providers, customers, finance and I-Houses to support compliant and timely product movement.
- Monitor freight performance, carrier bookings, transport schedules, DIFOT, on-time delivery and changing import/export requirements.
About You
You are a highly organised logistics or export professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
You understand export documentation, customs and compliance requirements, and enjoy coordinating multiple moving parts across suppliers, freight providers, brokers and customers.
You communicate clearly, build effective working relationships, and take pride in ensuring documentation, transport, inventory and delivery outcomes are managed to a high standard.
You Will Bring

Experience working within export documentation, logistics or supply chain functions in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Experience within the red meat, food export, agribusiness or cold chain logistics sector will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of trade documentation and customs/export compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with accuracy in processing invoices across multiple currencies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers, freight providers and customers.
- A highly organised, detail-focused approach and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
