Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and highly organised Warehouse Operations Coordinator to manage and execute the day-to-day logistics of our facility. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that bridges the gap between physical inventory management and administrative coordination. You will be responsible for everything from picking and packing orders to maintaining strict stock control and coordinating freight, ensuring our warehouse runs like a well-oiled machine.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Fulfilment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch daily, ensuring high standards of quality control.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Manage the receipt of incoming stock, verify deliveries against manifests, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Warehouse Logistics: Maintain a strict understanding and organisation of the warehouse layout, optimising bin and bay allocations for maximum efficiency.
- Freight & Dispatch: Coordinate and book freight with transport providers, ensuring accurate shipping documentation and labels are generated.
- Internal Collaboration: Liaise closely with the sales team to provide updates on stock availability, order statuses, and dispatch timelines.
- Customer Interaction: Assist customers professionally during order collections or when handling direct delivery and stock inquiries.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and tidy, ensuring all walkways, bays, and packing stations meet safety standards.
- Deliveries and Pick ups: Occassional deliveries to local customers or pick ups from suppliers.
Skills and Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Forklift Ticket (LF) with proven operating experience is essential as is a Manual Driver's Licence.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse management principles (bins/bays).
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal sales staff and interact professionally with customers.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable utilising freight booking platforms, inventory software, and general digital tools including spreadsheets.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a physically fit (heavy lifting is required), hands-on approach to work.
Pay: $65,357.28 – $126,698.08 per year
