About Vat Clean

We're South East Queensland's specialist in commercial deep fryer cleaning, waste oil removal and oil replenishment. Our crews work early hours so kitchens open spotless and ready to trade.

Over 100 kitchens trust us — across fast food, supermarkets, hospitality, aviation catering, hospitals and retirement villages. We've been doing this for more than 20 years, and every litre of waste oil we collect is recycled into renewable energy.

We have the reputation and the service. What we don't have is someone who owns the client relationships — winning new kitchens, and looking after the ones we've already got. That's this role.

The opportunity

This job has two halves, and you'll own both.

The first is business development. You'll prospect, pitch, quote and close new commercial kitchen accounts right across South East Queensland — Brisbane, Ipswich, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. It's a genuine hunter's patch — you generate the leads, you set the territory.

The second is relationship management. You'll be the commercial point of contact for our existing clients: reviewing their accounts, spotting where they need more from us, adding venues, and making sure small service issues never turn into lost contracts.

You'll be selling something easy to believe in. Kitchen managers hate cleaning fryers. We do it better, cheaper and safer than doing it in-house, and the oil recycling story gives procurement teams something to feel good about. Most of your competition is a chef doing it badly at 11pm.

What you'll be doing

Winning new business

Generating your own leads through cold calls, site visits and referrals
Door-knocking commercial kitchens across South East Queensland
Chasing multi-site groups — franchises, aged care, clubs, catering companies
Scoping jobs on site, quoting accurately and closing the agreement

Looking after existing & new clients

Running account reviews with our key and multi-site clients
Growing revenue in existing accounts — more venues, more services, higher frequency
Spotting churn risk early and fixing it before the client goes looking
Handling annual price reviews without damaging the relationship
Turning happy clients into referrals

What you'll bring

Proven B2B business development or field sales success
Genuine comfort with cold outreach, not just warm inbound leads
A track record of keeping and growing clients, not just signing them
Commercial instincts to price a job properly and hold your value
Confidence in the hard conversations — service failures, price increases
Credibility with venue managers and national procurement alike
Queensland driver's licence and a reliable vehicle you're happy to cover ground in
Your own mobile and laptop (we cover your fuel, not your gear)

Experience in hospitality, food service, facilities management or cleaning is highly regarded, but we'll back the right operator from any services background.

What's in it for you

Starting $70,000 base plus superannuation
$150 for every new site you sign — uncapped, paid monthly
Paid per site, not per client, so a ten-venue group pays $1,500
Look after your clients well and they add venues — you get paid on those too
Fuel card covering your work travel, site to site and home to site
A real SEQ patch — Brisbane, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast to go at
Salary and bonus rate both reviewed once you've proven the role out
Direct access to the owner — decisions get made, not sent to a committee
