About the role
As a Family Store Manager, this is your opportunity to lead the daily retail, administrative & recycling operations of the Family Store, supporting The Salvation Army's mission and values while delivering a positive community impact.
Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is a permanent, full-time position, based in Stafford, QLD.
How you will make an impact

Lead the day-to-day operations of the Family Store, ensuring a well-presented retail environment, excellent customer service and appropriate stock levels.

Drive store performance by identifying opportunities for growth, promotion and operational improvement, and contributing ideas to enhance outcomes.

Oversee stock control processes, including receiving, pricing, merchandising and disposal of stock in line with organisational standards.

Manage store finances, including cash handling, banking and supporting the overall financial performance of the store.

Lead, support and develop staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, productive and customer-focused team culture.

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with safety, security, administrative and organisational requirements.
What you will bring

Proven experience in retail management, ideally 5+ years.

Demonstrated people management skills with an emphasis on volunteers and the community.

Strong communication and organisational skills with a positive, team-focused approach.

Current valid driver’s licence.

Current first aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one.

A national police record check is required.
