Full Job Description

Business Development Manager

Cascade Strategy is seeking a full-time, permanent Business Development Manager to join our growing Sydney team.

Cascade is a leading strategy execution software platform, helping organisations plan, execute and monitor strategic initiatives. Thousands of organisations across government, healthcare, education and enterprise use Cascade to improve performance and achieve strategic outcomes.

Working closely with senior leadership and the APAC go-to-market team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with prospective enterprise customers and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline. You will help grow Cascade’s market presence by understanding customer business challenges and demonstrating how Cascade’s software can support more effective strategy execution.

Key responsibilities

Identify, develop and qualify new enterprise business opportunities across assigned industries, territories and target accounts.
Build and execute strategic outbound business development plans using phone, email, LinkedIn and other prospecting channels.
Respond to and qualify relevant inbound business opportunities.
Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective enterprise customers from initial engagement through to qualified sales opportunities.
Conduct discovery meetings with prospective customers to understand their business objectives, strategic priorities and software requirements.
Present and demonstrate Cascade’s strategy execution platform to prospective customers and senior stakeholders.
Collaborate with Account Executives, Product and Customer Success teams to develop solution proposals, support enterprise sales opportunities and ensure proposed solutions align with customer business and technical requirements.
Build trusted relationships with executive decision-makers and key influencers.
Work collaboratively with Account Executives to develop account strategies and progress qualified opportunities through the sales cycle.
Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships where appropriate.
Maintain accurate customer, pipeline and sales activity records in HubSpot and other sales systems.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback and provide relevant insights to sales leadership.
Consistently achieve pipeline generation, qualified opportunity and revenue-contribution targets.
Provide customer, market and product feedback to Sales and Product teams to support product enhancements, go-to-market initiatives and competitive positioning.

Skills and experience

At least two years’ experience in B2B SaaS business development, enterprise sales or a similar technology sales role.
Demonstrated experience identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Experience engaging with senior business stakeholders and executive decision-makers.
Experience conducting discovery meetings and presenting software solutions.
Ability to understand customer business requirements and position technology solutions effectively.
Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational, pipeline-management and CRM skills.
Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM platform.

Employment details

Full-time, permanent position.
Based in Sydney CBD.
Primarily office-based, with flexibility provided where appropriate.
Some flexibility in working hours may be required to support prospects and customers across APAC and the Middle East.
Base salary: $100,000–$110,000 plus superannuation and commission.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
