At Coles, we're reimagining how millions of Australians shop online. We're looking for a commercially driven Senior eCommerce Trading Manager to lead the strategy and performance of our Fresh portfolio, delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving sustainable commercial growth.
This is a leadership role where you'll influence how customers discover, shop and engage with Fresh online, balancing commercial performance with customer outcomes across one of our crucial categories.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Online Trading & Commercial Operations, you'll own the online trading strategy for Fresh, leading a team of experienced trading professionals while partnering across Digital, Category, Product, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations.
You'll be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, optimising the online customer experience and making data-led commercial decisions that improve sales, profitability, conversion and availability.
This role is as much about strategy and leadership as it is execution.
What you'll be doing

Define and execute the online trading strategy for the Fresh portfolio.

Drive commercial performance across sales, margin, conversion and customer satisfaction.

Lead strategic trading initiatives, promotional planning and seasonal campaigns.

Use customer insights, analytics and market trends to identify new growth opportunities.

Partner with Product, Digital, Category, Marketing and Operations to continually improve the online shopping experience.

Champion innovation across search, merchandising, content, personalisation and digital optimisation.

Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of experienced trading professionals.

Influence senior stakeholders to deliver initiatives that improve both customer and commercial outcomes.
About you
You're a commercial leader who enjoys solving complex problems and building high-performing teams.
You'll likely come from a fast-paced digital retailer, marketplace or omnichannel business where you've owned trading strategy, commercial performance or digital growth.

Significant experience leading eCommerce, digital trading or online commercial functions.

Strong commercial acumen with experience owning meaningful revenue and trading outcomes.
