Your impact
At Jacobs, our Transport business provides the full spectrum of consulting services from advisory and adaptative pathway planning through to engineering design and asset management - our scientists, engineers, planners and community engagement teams work collaboratively with clients, communities, traditional owners and tangata whenua to find the right solutions to their civil and aviation challenges. We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern Geotechnical Engineer to join our Perth Tunnels & Ground Engineering team this summer. As part of a global team of technical specialists, you'll work alongside industry-leading professionals on projects that help deliver essential infrastructure and solve complex ground engineering challenges.
You'll gain exposure to a variety of geotechnical and tunnelling projects, supporting activities such as ground investigations, geological and geotechnical assessments, design development, numerical analysis and construction support. From major transport tunnels and underground structures to foundations, retaining systems and earthworks, you'll contribute to real-world engineering solutions while developing your technical and professional capabilities.
Supported by experienced mentors, you'll be encouraged to learn, ask questions and make a meaningful contribution from day one, helping you build a strong foundation for your future career in geotechnical and tunnelling engineering.
Here's what you'll need
Ideally, you’re in your penultimate year at university studying Civil Engineering/ Geological Engineering . This is a unique role that requires applicants to hold the right to work in Australia. Bring your curiosity, collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfil what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.
Our Summer Internship Program
