We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Support Engineer with a strong technical background and proven experience delivering IT projects. This is a hands‑on, project‑focused role suited to someone who enjoys working across modern Microsoft environments, improving client systems, and owning technical outcomes.
This role is ideal for a high‑performing engineer who is confident troubleshooting complex issues, delivering projects end‑to‑end, and communicating professionally with clients.
What you’ll be doing
Deliver IT projects across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, security, identity, and client environments
Plan and execute Microsoft 365 deployments and migrations
Deploy, upgrade, and remediate Windows Server environments
Implement and maintain security solutions including MFA, EDR/AV, and backup platforms
Manage and improve client environments including Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Intune
Own and resolve escalated Level 2 support issues
Troubleshoot complex problems across endpoints, servers, cloud services, and networks
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients during projects and escalations
Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation
What we’re looking for
Essential experience and skills:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Level 2 Support Engineer, Senior Service Desk, or similar role
Strong ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Hands‑on experience with:
Windows 10 and Windows 11
Microsoft 365 administration
Active Directory and Azure AD
Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects in addition to support work
Solid working knowledge of:
Windows Server deployment, upgrades, and management
Backup and disaster recovery solutions (including restores and troubleshooting)
Networking fundamentals (firewalls, NAT, VLANs, Wi‑Fi)
Security technologies such as MFA, antivirus/EDR, and UTM solutions
Device and application deployment using Microsoft Intune or similar tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities across projects and escalations
Highly regarded:
Experience with Hyper‑V and/or VMware
Exposure to Azure and/or AWS environments
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
Microsoft certifications such as AZ‑104, MD‑100, MD‑101, or MS‑500
