The role of Partnership and Events Manager is a critical role in a fast-paced professional environment as part of the Partnership and Events team in the Marketing department. The successful candidate is proactive, diligent, innovative and resourceful with a strong business acumen. They are required to oversee the delivery of the partnerships portfolio and lead numerous partnership relationships at any one time, managing competing priorities whilst meeting marketing and contractual deadlines and reporting requirements.
The opportunity
This role is responsible for day-to-day management of Hostplus partnership activities, including maintaining partnership relationships, effective and timely delivery of partnership governance and maintenance of associated partnership documentation and record keeping for auditing purposes.
Working across the Partnership and Events team and the broader Marketing department and Hostplus team, you will ensure that Hostplus derives optimum value from its partnership agreements by ensuring that:
- Contractual elements of the Hostplus partnership portfolio are delivered and tracked;
- Member and employer needs are effectively targeted via associated marketing initiatives; and
- The ongoing ‘return on investment’ for the business and its key stakeholders is continually assessed, reported and optimised.
The Partnership and Events Manager will be a key contact for the Brand, Content and Design, Member Experience, Corporate Affairs and Client Services team, acting as a gateway for the business in engaging with our partnership portfolio. A passion for excellence, exemplary attention to detail and stakeholder management experience is highly regarded, as are time management skills and a strong business acumen to drive the best outcome for Hostplus members.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaison with partners, stakeholders and associations around fulfilment of related contractual industry association and sporting & recreation partnership agreements;
- Undertake analysis and performance tracking of ROI of partnership benefits;
- Oversee and support two Partnership & Event Specialists and their portfolios;
- Coordinate relevant internal and agency resources required to participate or contribute to the planning, creation and delivery of partnership initiatives and programs;
- Other general Partnership and Events related duties.
About you
- 6+ years minimum experience in a relevant field preferred with a minimum 3 years in sport sponsorship.
- Degree or qualification in Marketing, PR, Event Management, Commerce, desired but not required.
- Communications or related discipline preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
- Positive and proactive, with strong influencing and relationship-building capabilities.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Results-driven, self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes.
- Organisational and time management expertise with ability to adhere to tight deadlines, where necessary.
- Able to think laterally and beyond expectations or convention. You should be able to bring new ideas to life.
- Show a sense of responsibility to yourself, other Hostplus staff and our employers and members.
- You need to be committed to getting the job done positively, even in the most pressured situations, never defaulting to the path of least resistance or leaving things half done.
