Salt Bar in Kingscliff, NSW is one of the region's most sought-after venues for functions and events. We're looking for an experienced Functions & Events Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of every event held at this iconic beachside location.
This role combines planning, operations and leadership to ensure every event is delivered to the highest standard while achieving financial targets and exceptional guest experiences.
The successful candidate will oversee the entire customer journey — from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up — while managing a high-performing events team, controlling labour and stock costs, maintaining venue presentation, and ensuring smooth operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full functions and events process, from enquiry to post-event follow-up

Lead, train and develop a high-performing events team

Control labour and stock costs to meet financial targets

Maintain venue presentation and operational standards

Build strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals

Coordinate with kitchen, bar and venue teams to ensure seamless event delivery

Monitor event performance and identify opportunities for improvement
What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar functions and events role

Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills

Proven ability to manage budgets, labour and stock costs

A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and event days as required
