Azuma Japanese Restaurant - Sydney CBD

Azuma is one of the most successful family business in local. We offer the perfect blend of authentic Japanese cuisine and luxury dining in Sydney CBD. We proudly celebrate our 26th anniversary this year.

Our business seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Reservations / Office Administrator  to join our friendly team. Your working hours may vary depending on events and by mutual consent. Full-time or permanent Part-Time opportunity is available. This position will commence immediately.

Chifley Tower is a premium skyscraper in Sydney, close to public transport. Our clientele is high-end business people and regular guests that require quality service.

The main duties of this role are as follows:

Coordination of bookings and events

Reception duties; including emails, answering phones
Maintain the customer database, the system and the manuals
Responsible for functions, events and catering services.

Promotions and Marketing Assistant

Work with the management team, designers, PR agent, Centre Management, media, advertisers, etc..
Formatting, editing publications in both Japanese and English
Maintain eDM, SNS, WEB contents, e-commerce contents and responding to comments and enquiries
Assisting the management team with all other tasks as required

Other duties

Contact technicians, Arrange regular maintenance and repair, purchasing goods, maintain and update office records

We're looking for someone who has:

Understanding and willing to learn about a wide range of Japanese culture and history.
Strong organizational skills and high attention to every detail.
Strong computer skills including advanced Microsoft Office. Preferred ResDiary, WordPress, Wix, and Stripe.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment required.
Self-motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills required.
A minimum of 2-year full-time experience in hospitality or a similar role.
Equivalent education in Business, Marketing or Hospitality
Equivalent English qualifications or above IELTS 6.5, and professional Japanese language skills are required

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9.30 am – 4 pm
Working hours may vary depending on the time of year and events, by mutual agreement.

Employment Type: Casual (approximately 30+ hours per week), with the opportunity to transition to permanent part-time or full-time as the role develops.

Pay: $34.00 – $39.00 per hour
