The Role of Commis Chef

Support the day-to-day operations of the breakfast kitchen, ensuring efficient and high quality service
Assist with food preparation for breakfast service and the Tori Bar & Café lunch offering
Prepare ingredients and dishes in line with menu specifications and kitchen standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with food safety regulations
Work collaboratively across all hotel outlets, providing support wherever required to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Success in this role will be underpinned by creativity, a passion for food, consistent delivery of high-quality dishes, strong food safety and hygiene practices, and a positive team culture focused on learning and development

About You

2-3 years’ experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment;
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Passion for the hospitality industry with great attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and work independently
A reliable team player with a positive attitude
Experience in premium dining is advantageous, but not essential
