What you’ll do

Step into a role where your passion for fresh food takes center stage. We are seeking a dynamic Category Manager to partner seamlessly with our in-store operations teams, turning our commercial strategy into exceptional retail experiences. A collaborative leader driven to champion local produce and deliver the absolute best of Australian fresh straight to our customers.

Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that align with customer needs and commercial objectives.
Develop and execute category plans that provide a clear roadmap for supply partners, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
Drive sales growth and profit improvement by implementing strategic category initiatives that optimise product offerings and merchandising strategies.
Identify and capitalise on opportunities that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline store operations, and reduce costs for Woolworths.
Continuously evaluate supplier capabilities, proactively seek new partnerships, and cultivate existing relationships to secure long-term competitive advantage.

What you’ll bring

Strong financial and category management skills
Passion for leading, coaching and developing team
Demonstrated strong partnership skills working cross functionally with multiple stakeholders across the group and suppliers
Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with the divisional strategy and supported by sound commercial insights and data.
Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
