As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded General Manager to lead our operations, drive strategic growth, and elevate customer experience across all areas of the business.
About The Role
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of the business, including operational delivery, strategic execution, and commercial outcomes across our retail, wholesale, e-commerce, and online sales channels.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong commercial judgement and the ability to make effective business decisions that support growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across retail stores, wholesale partnerships, e-commerce platforms, and other online sales operations.
Working closely with ownership, you will have autonomy in day-to-day management while ensuring alignment with long-term business strategy, organisational performance, customer experience excellence, and the continued expansion of our online presence and digital sales capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to support sustainable growth and profitability across retail, wholesale, and online channels.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and achievement of organisational objectives.
- Oversee the performance and growth of e-commerce and online sales operations, identifying opportunities to enhance customer acquisition, conversion, and retention.
- Monitor business performance through key financial, operational, and digital performance metrics, implementing improvement initiatives where required.
- Identify opportunities for market expansion, process optimisation, revenue growth, and the development of new online sales channels.
- Ensure effective resource planning, workforce development, and succession planning to support future business needs.
- Lead organisational change initiatives and foster a high-performance culture across the business.
- Manage risk, governance, compliance, and business continuity requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, customers, marketplace providers, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to strengthen brand presence, improve digital engagement, and support online growth initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to company ownership and executive leadership.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Significant senior leadership experience within retail, FMCG, wholesale, import/export, e-commerce, or multi-channel business environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to drive business performance and profitability.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholders.
- Experience implementing systems, processes, and operational improvements across multi-site or growing businesses.
- Experience overseeing e-commerce operations and understanding the key drivers of online sales performance.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of wholesale and retail operations, customer experience, supply chain, online sales, and business performance management.
- Strong financial and operational management experience.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
