- Salary: RN/M3A $130,190 to $136,010 p.a. + any penalties
- Fulltime, Temporary - 2 year contract
We are offering a unique temporary full-time opportunity for an experienced nurse or midwife to take on a strategic leadership role within the Rural and Remote Mental Health Service (RRMHS) to provide strengthened leadership across recruitment, rostering, NHPPD application and monitoring and workforce stabilisation for RRMHS and to support the commissioning and stabilisation of the new mental health services. You will lead and support key projects and programs that strengthen workforce capability, improve practice consistency, and enhance safe, high-quality patient outcomes, while providing expert advice across professional practice, workforce, education, and research.

WHERE AND HOW WILL YOU WORK
Parkside, South Australia is a well-located inner-southern suburb just minutes from Adelaide’s CBD, known for its leafy streets, convenient transport options, and easy access to local cafés, parks, and everyday amenities.
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects and programs, with strong skills in workforce planning, management of nursing budgets and resource allocation, workforce implementation within a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in nursing and midwifery professional practice, with the capacity to provide advice on workforce, legislation and education, and research.
- Strong strategic thinker with experience in driving improvements in healthcare systems, quality, and patient outcomes.
- Well-developed leadership and influencing skills, with the capability to engage stakeholders, contribute to advisory groups, and lead change across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in roster development, workforce management, quality improvement, data analysis and performance monitoring, including developing KPIs, using information systems, and applying research and evidence to inform decision-making and practice.
- Knowledge of vaccination requirements and immunisation as applied to regional healthcare contexts.

- Lead, coordinate and deliver complex mental health nursing and midwifery projects and programs, ensuring effective planning, implementation, evaluation and alignment with RRMHS strategic priorities.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on professional practice, workforce, education and policy to support evidence-based decision-making and improved outcomes.
- Drive quality improvement and consistency in practice by developing, implementing and evaluating policies, protocols and performance measures.
- Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders, including advisory groups and multidisciplinary teams, to support system-wide improvements and change initiatives.
- Utilise data, research and information systems to monitor performance, inform strategy and strengthen workforce capability and service delivery.
