ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for experienced Tipper Truck Operators to join our team to support the Mitchell Freeway Concrete Barriers Upgrade. This will include the removal of existing barriers and replacement with new concrete barriers on the Mitchell Freeway between Ocean Reef Road and Hester Avenue. Work scope includes associated pavement works, services protection, and required significant rail safety management.
As a Tipper Truck Operator, you will be reporting to the Civil Supervisor and you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of bulk materials (soil, gravel, ore, and waste), while ensuring compliance with site procedures, safety standards, and production requirements.
Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Transport concrete barriers and construction materials safely between designated loading and unloading locations in accordance with project schedules.
- Safely load, unload, and tip materials, ensuring vehicle stability and compliance with safe operating procedures.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and operational readiness.
- Promptly report mechanical faults, vehicle damage, hazards, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Secure loads in accordance with load restraint standards and ensure compliance with all applicable weight and transport regulations.
- Accurately complete delivery documentation, logbooks, pre-start checklists, and vehicle inspection records.
- Comply with all road traffic laws, company policies, and site-specific safety and operational requirements.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety while working on active civil construction and infrastructure projects.
To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- HR Drivers License
- Tipper truck national competency ticket (RIIVEH304E Conduct tip truck operations)
- White Card
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
- MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
