Category 5 Labour Management is seeking reliable Fixed Plant Machine Operators to join a well-established WA manufacturer supplying the building and construction industry.
No previous machine operating experience is required – full training is provided from day one. We are looking for people with transferable skills, a strong work ethic, good reliability and a genuine willingness to learn.
Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, construction, labouring or other hands-on environments is highly regarded.
Roster This role works a 12-hour rotating roster across both day and night shifts
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm
- Night Shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am
- Paid for the full 12-hour shift, including breaks
- Every second weekend off
- No FIFO – home after every shift
Please note: You must be available to work both day and night shifts as part of the full rotating roster.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate and monitor fixed plant and production machinery
- Learn plant operations and production processes
- Complete routine plant and equipment checks
- Monitor product quality and production requirements
- Assist with safe equipment shutdowns
- Support basic plant maintenance
- Complete general cleaning and housekeeping
- Follow site safety procedures and instructions
What We’re Looking For?
You don’t need previous machine operating experience, but you will need to demonstrate:
- Transferable skills from previous employment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from day one
- Reliable work history with good attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes
- Confidence working in a hands-on, safety-focused environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full Australian working rights
- Current WA Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Availability for the full 12-hour rotating day/night roster
- Physical fitness to complete hands-on manufacturing work
- Ability to complete online onboarding and site inductions
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Ability to provide two recent supervisor or manager references
Highly Regarded, But Not Essential
- Manufacturing or production experience
- Machine operating experience
- Forklift Licence
- Confined Space ticket
- Previous labouring, construction, warehousing or similar hands-on experience
