The Role
Cockburn Cement has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, safety-conscious individual to join our Munster team in Western Australia on a 12-month fixed term, full-time basis.
This role is offered on a sportsman roster – 72 hours per fortnight, working 10.3-hour shifts between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm – giving you an excellent work-life balance and plenty of time for sport and personal commitments.
As a Plant Operator, you'll safely operate heavy mobile plant and machinery to load product for rail dispatch, while also providing mobile plant site services across the operation.
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy working in a small, close-knit team, bring flexibility and a positive attitude, and take pride in doing the job right – safely, every time.
It's a great opportunity to build production and quarrying experience in a secure and growing industry, with training provided to help you gain your mobile plant operator tickets.
Responsibilities

Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained

Operate mobile and fixed plant

Undertake housekeeping, basic maintenance and general labour duties

Report incidents/hazards to the supervisor
What you will need to succeed

Demonstrated experience in operating mobile plant and/or heavy equipment

Current driver's licence and own reliable transport

Front End Loader Ticket (desired but not essential)

Familiarity working in or around public or private rail sidings would be desired but not essential
