National Sales Manager – Mining Equipment

Location: Perth, Western Australia
Industry: Mining Equipment / Engineering / Business Development

We are seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to lead sales and business development activities across Australia’s mining industry. Based in Perth, this role will focus on developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with mining companies and contractors, and growing the organisation’s presence in the Australian mining market.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute national sales and business development strategies for the mining sector
Identify new projects, customers and commercial opportunities across Australia
Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, contractors, procurement teams and key industry stakeholders
Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, technical discussions, proposals, negotiations and contract closure
Understand client requirements and recommend suitable mining equipment and engineering solutions
Review and interpret CAD drawings, equipment drawings and technical specifications
Monitor mining projects, market trends, competitor activity and upcoming equipment requirements
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, presentations and business development plans
Coordinate with engineering, operations and project teams to ensure successful delivery
Travel regularly to client sites, mining locations and industry events across Australia

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Proven sales or business development experience within the mining, mining equipment or heavy engineering industry
Experience in mining equipment procurement or mining project management is highly preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and understand CAD and equipment drawings
Good knowledge of the Australian mining market and its major industry participants
Strong negotiation, commercial, presentation and client relationship management skills
Ability to manage national accounts and develop long-term business partnerships
Valid Australian driver’s licence
Willingness to travel across Australia as required
Candidates must currently be based in Australia and have full Australian working rights
Visa sponsorship and international relocation support are not available
