About Extend Home Health Care

Extend Home Health Care is a registered NDIS provider based in Western Australia. We deliver personalised, compassionate support to people living with disability, with a focus on quality, safety, inclusion and culturally respectful, person-centred care. Our services include assistance with daily activities and high-intensity supports, community nursing, community participation, supported accommodation and shared living supports.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage accurate financial reporting, strengthen financial controls and provide practical analysis to support informed decision-making across the organisation.

Reporting to management, you will work across month-end reporting, budgeting, cash flow, compliance and process improvement while collaborating with operational leaders and external advisers.

Key responsibilities

Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow planning and financial modelling.
Provide analysis and clear reporting to management on service performance, profitability, costs, risks and improvement opportunities.
Coordinate accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll-related reconciliations and debt follow-up processes.
Prepare and support statutory and taxation obligations, including BAS, GST, PAYG and year-end information, in conjunction with external advisers where required.
Maintain effective internal controls, financial policies and audit-ready records.
Support external audit, insurance, funding and compliance information requests.
Review accounting systems and workflows and implement practical improvements to reporting accuracy, efficiency and scalability.
Work collaboratively with managers and other stakeholders to support operational and financial objectives.

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a closely related discipline.
At least three years of relevant accounting experience, including month-end reporting and financial analysis.
Sound knowledge of Australian accounting principles and taxation and compliance obligations relevant to a private company.
Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and balance sheet reconciliations.
Strong spreadsheet skills and confidence using accounting and payroll systems.
High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Highly regarded

CPA or CA qualification, or progress toward professional accreditation.
Accounting experience in the NDIS, disability, community services, healthcare or another government-funded service environment.
Experience improving finance systems, reporting processes or internal controls in a growing organisation.
