With a culture of genuine care, a flexible approach to work and opportunities across the group to grow your career and make a meaningful impact, the possibilities for what we can achieve together are endless.
What you’ll do
As a Merchandising Operations Specialist, you are the critical bridge between strategy and the shelf. You will play a vital role in driving merchandising excellence and upholding our high standards for store experience.
Your work directly impacts our team's core ambition: making it simple and intuitive for our stores to fill, replenish, and maintain planograms day-to-day, while ensuring clear, seamless shelf navigation for our customers so their path to purchase is entirely frictionless.
You will:
-
Drive Merchandising Excellence: Enhance merchandising standards and planogram integrity by utilising 'Fit Check' processes. Perform concise operational checks prior to launch to proactively strengthen execution.
-
Problem-Solve & Scale Solutions: Act decisively on store feedback and helpdesk queries. Use critical thinking to triage immediate issues, analyse root causes, and identify broader fleet impacts to scale network-wide solutions and prevent waste.
-
Collaborate & Influence: Actively drive partner engagement sessions, bringing robust, data-driven insights to the table to guide strategic shelf-edge execution and inspire optimal merchandising outcomes.
-
Manage Workload & SLAs: Take full ownership of your individual capacity planning to consistently meet key milestones, surface potential risks early, and consistently achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for store support.
-
Continuous Improvement: Lead post-implementation reviews (PIRs) to extract critical insights from store feedback. Bring a curious mind to analyse trends and convert them into clear, actionable recommendations that improve business outcomes.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will need a blend of analytical thinking, retail curiosity, and strong operational foundational skills.
The Essentials:
-
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a relevant role (e.g., retail operations, merchandising, FMCG, department management, or as a category analyst).
-
Technical Skills: High proficiency in Google and Microsoft suites, with intermediate Excel skills (e.g., comfortable with pivot tables, formulas, and conditional formatting).
-
Mindset: A natural curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement; you enjoy looking at data or feedback and figuring out how to do things smarter, faster, and simpler.
-
Mobility: A valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
The Desirables:
-
Experience utilising SAP and Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning.
-
Commercial understanding of the FMCG industry, including Woolworths and Supplier processes.
