As our Australian business continues to expand across the automotive, technology and mobility sectors, we are seeking a commercially driven senior executive to lead sales, marketing and business growth in Australia.
The Opportunity
The General Manager – Sales & Marketing Australia will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s Australian commercial strategy, building strategic client relationships, driving sustainable revenue growth and strengthening the organisation’s market position.
This role requires a senior leader with deep automotive industry knowledge, extensive experience in sales and marketing leadership, strong channel and dealer-network expertise, and a proven ability to lead organisational transformation and cross-functional execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute the company’s sales and marketing strategy for Australia, aligned with group objectives and local market opportunities.
· Lead new business development and identify growth opportunities across the automotive, mobility, technology and related sectors.
· Build and maintain strategic relationships with automotive manufacturers, dealer groups, distributors, media partners and other key stakeholders.
· Lead go-to-market planning for new brands, products and services, ensuring close coordination between sales, marketing, strategy, creative and delivery teams.
· Oversee channel and retail-network development, including dealer capability improvement, network performance and customer-experience enhancement.
· Drive brand positioning, integrated marketing, digital transformation and customer-lifecycle initiatives to strengthen awareness, lead generation and conversion.
· Use market intelligence, customer insights and performance data to guide commercial decisions, resource allocation and business planning.
· Own revenue, sales targets, budgets, profitability and commercial performance for the Australian business.
· Lead organisational planning, team development, performance management and cross-functional collaboration.
· Implement clear KPIs, reporting structures, governance processes and operating rhythms to improve accountability and execution efficiency.
· Represent the Australian business in senior-level discussions with group management, clients and external partners.
About You
· Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, Management or a related discipline; MBA or EMBA highly regarded.
· Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience across sales, marketing, channel development, business operations or general management.
· Extensive experience in the automotive industry, ideally with an OEM, national sales company, dealer network, mobility brand or related organisation.
· Proven track record of delivering revenue growth, market-share improvement and sustainable commercial performance.
· Strong expertise in dealer-network strategy, retail operations, channel transformation and customer lifecycle management.
· Demonstrated experience in brand building, integrated marketing, digitalisation and data-driven decision-making.
· Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams and managing senior stakeholders across multiple markets.
· Strong commercial judgement, negotiation capability and the ability to translate strategy into measurable execution.
· Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
· Fluency in English is required; Mandarin capability will be highly regarded due to the international nature of the business.
