Ready to trade the workshop and four walls for the open road? As Area Manager, you’ll lead a team that takes the workshop with them, servicing customers in their own driveways and yards across Sydney. Your job is to keep that whole moving operation running like clockwork, whilst building a team that genuinely loves the way they work.
Lube Mobile has been getting Australians back on the road since 1982. We’re now part of Bridgestone Australia - one of the most recognised names in tyres and automotive - which means you get the backing, training and career pathway of a global business, while still running your zone with real autonomy.
The Role
Reporting to the State Manager, you’ll take full ownership of operations across the Sydney region, managing a mix of mobile mechanics on the road and workshop-based technicians. You’re accountable for the commercial performance of your area, the people in it and the day-to-day machine that keeps jobs moving, customers happy and techs supported.
This isn’t a role where someone hands you a playbook and checks in twice a week. You’ll be making calls, solving problems on the fly and owning the outcome.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Owning P&L performance for your zone — sales, profit, parts and labour margins, productivity
-
Leading and developing a team of mobile mechanics, workshop technicians and trainers
-
Coordinating jobs and resources across mobile and workshop operations, keeping the board moving and customers serviced on time
-
Recruiting, training and managing performance across your team
-
Managing customer relationships and resolving escalations with a calm, solutions-first approach
-
Overseeing fleet, equipment and site standards — keeping everything safe, compliant, and audit-ready
-
Championing safety as a genuine priority, in line with Bridgestone’s standards
What You’ll Bring
-
A relevant trade qualification, or strong automotive industry experience
-
Proven experience leading and developing a team, ideally across a mix of on-site and remote/field operations
-
Comfort owning commercial numbers and turning data into action
-
Strong problem-solving instincts — you don’t wait for someone else to make the call
-
The ability to build genuine relationships with technicians, customers and stakeholders at every level
-
A full, clean driver’s licence
-
What’s In It For You
Competitive base, plus performance bonuses -
Real autonomy — lead your zone your way, with the backing of a national brand
-
Career development within the broader Bridgestone network
-
Staff discounts and benefits across the Bridgestone group
-
A role where no two days look the same — and that’s the point
