Fresh Produce Wholesale & ASX Growth Opportunity
Location: Sydney Markets, Sydney NSW
An exceptional opportunity exists for an outstanding Chief Executive Officer to lead a successful Sydney-based fresh produce wholesale business through its next phase of growth, including a planned ASX listing and the creation of a diversified national food enterprise.
We are seeking a commercially driven leader with deep industry experience, an extensive network of growers, suppliers and customers, and the vision to build one of Australia’s leading fresh produce businesses.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Board, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational performance and long-term growth of the business.
Working from Sydney Markets, you will engage closely with growers, suppliers and customers, requiring regular early morning attendance.
You will be expected to:
- Lead business growth before and after listing on the ASX.
- Increase sales by leveraging your established customer relationships and developing new markets.
- Introduce and strengthen relationships with growers, importers and strategic suppliers.
- Identify acquisition and partnership opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Build and lead a high-performing executive team.
- Deliver strong financial performance and operational excellence.
- Represent the company with customers, suppliers, investors, analysts and industry stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategies that utilise the advantages of an ASX-listed platform, including access to capital, diversification, technology investment and corporate profile.
About You
To be successful you will possess:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including senior management or executive experience within the Australian fresh produce wholesale or retail industry.
- Proven success growing sales, profitability and market share.
- An extensive network of wholesale customers, retailers, foodservice operators, growers and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to secure new business and create strategic commercial partnerships.
- Strong leadership, negotiation and commercial management skills.
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
- High levels of integrity, energy and accountability.
- A willingness to work early mornings at Sydney Markets.
Previous experience as a CEO, Managing Director, General Manager or Senior Executive within the fresh produce industry will be highly regarded.
