Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH) as the Executive Assistant.

The VEWH is an independent statutory body responsible for managing Victoria’s environmental water entitlements, in cooperation with program partners, to improve the environmental health of rivers and wetlands.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality executive, administrative and coordination support to the Chief Executive Officer, Commissioners and VEWH office.

Reporting to the Executive Manager - Governance, this role will suit someone with executive administration experience, proficiency with MS Office suite and an ability to work collaboratively and build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This position will work in partnership (job share) with another Executive Assistant.

Key elements of this role are to:

Support the Chief Executive Officer in maintaining an organised diary and inbox, actioning relevant emails, redirecting actions as required and prioritising urgent and/or significant matters.

Provide high-quality executive and administrative support to the Commissioners and VEWH office, including coordination of Commission and stakeholder meetings, preparation and distribution of papers, travel and accommodation bookings, venue and catering arrangements, and other office coordination activities as required.
Maintain a high level of organisational awareness, screen and attend to a broad range of confidential and sensitive enquiries ensuring they are appropriately monitored and dealt with including preparing documentation and correspondence as required to support information flow and team decision making.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Executive administration experience is required.

This is a part time (0.4 to 0.5 FTE), fixed term position available to 30 June 2028. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
