What’s on Offer

On-going, full-time casual opportunity (40 hours/week) on environmental monitoring projects running from September
Comprehensive training provided and will work autonomously once established
Company vehicle supplied for project work
Work across Sydney and surrounding regions, with future project expansion opportunities

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager the Environmental Scientist will collect and report data on petroleum fuel sites across Sydney.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited:

Coordinate schedule, as well as weekly project mobilisations
Gauge and sample groundwater wells, detecting any fuel contamination
Annotate site maps and conduct site inspection
Instrument operation and maintenance
Conduct well maintenance and repairs
Occasional travel and remote work
Completion of chain of custody paperwork

About you:

You will demonstrate a strong ability to work autonomously, alongside the following:

Full Drivers License
1+ years’ experience in groundwater monitoring, environmental sampling, and equipment calibration and maintenance
Hands-on experience using hand tools and environmental monitoring equipment
Proven ability to work independently in the field while meeting targets and deadlines
Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
