The Opportunity

We are looking for a visionary, highly commercial business leader to steer the growth, client partnerships, and innovation of our Everyday Needs (EDN) vertical. Reporting directly to the Director of Client Partnerships & Sales, you will translate high-level company strategies into aggressive commercial execution, driving both short-term revenue and long-term market dominance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Client Engagement & Revenue Generation: Personally lead high-stakes relationships with key clients, oversee major pitch strategies, drive sales target delivery, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Strategic Growth & Commercial Governance: Design and execute the growth strategy for the Everyday Needs vertical, driving portfolio performance across Cartology Group Sales while maintaining strong commercial governance.
Team Leadership & Capability Building: Build, inspire, and mentor a high-performing, diverse team, cultivating a culture of innovation, feedback, accountability, and continuous learning.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner seamlessly with Woolworths Group stakeholders (Everyday Category Buyers, Big W, Brand & Marketing, WooliesX) to deliver integrated, customer-first solutions.
Product & Commercial Innovation: Drive new retail media offerings by identifying market trends, optimising lead times, and collaborating on product development.

What You Bring

Background & Expertise: 10+ years of leadership experience. Broad commercial experience within FMCG, retail, media, or advertising is highly valued.
Commercial Acumen & Results: Proven track record of driving commercial growth, delivering on ambitious sales targets, maintaining robust commercial governance, and translating strategy into bottom-line performance.
Capability Building & People Leadership: A passionate team developer skilled at coaching, giving direct feedback, and elevating team capabilities to build a high-performance culture.
Influence & Adaptability: Highly empathetic, resilient, and adept at navigating matrixed environments to build trust and influence stakeholders across the business.
